When we discovered this house, it was almost a miracle – it met all our expectations – a large garden with mature walnut trees, a quiet location by the forest, sensitively preserved original features (beams, brick walls, sandstone stairs, etc.), a short walk from the bike path, within reach of public transport… It was just too big for our family. That’s how the idea was born to rebuild the house so that the second half of the house would become a holiday apartment, with its own entrance, completely separate from the half we lived in.

The apartment is built from a former barn, the original features create a unique atmosphere (beams and brick walls). We tried to use as much old stylish furniture as possible (thonets, a wardrobe from Jitona…) and complement it with new pieces so that everyone would feel comfortable and pleasant with us. We didn’t want to build a dormitory, but generous comfortable rooms, with bathrooms and a living ground floor, where everything needed for entire families or groups of friends would be. And as a bonus, we offer the use of the bookbinding workshop for workshops for children and adults.

Těchlovice and its surroundings are just waiting to be discovered. It is a land of solitude and beautiful views, extinct villages and old tourist routes. On trips around the area, you will not be crowded with other tourists, on the contrary, you will enjoy the pure Sudeten romance.
